DAVE. This is nice and simple for an opening track. I don't always know what John's singing about but I like to sing along with this one anyway. It's a very short song, which is a bonus as it leaves me wanting more. The first guitar you hear is a Aria pro 2 Cardinal 350. It sounds good but the tuning kept going wonky that day so I used a Gordon Smith GS 1.5 for the rest of the recording with the odd guest spot from a couple of Rick's guitars.

RICK. Caramel is my idea of bubble gum pop. Two minutes of power pop joy. In truth I'm not sure what the term bubble gum pop really means but this is the perfect tempo for a vigorous chew!

JOHN. The whole CD has a kind of natural running order with Caramel and You Still Mean Something to Me being the book ends with This Summer in the middle. All 3 songs are about a cross-Atlantic friendship which came about through social media due to the love of the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. A great opener!
