DAVE. Another very short track but packed with enough riffs for two or three songs. This one is really driven by the vocals with a ton of chords going on behind them. I like the way it gets louder half way through and almost turns into a different song.
RICK. Everybody's Famous goes all over the place. In a good way. Finished off with some backing vocals from John. He has such a striking voice.
JOHN. This song was hard to sing but in the end, it works a treat. I love how the song buildings and gets noisier. As throughout the CD, Rick's mixing expertise is exceptional.
lyrics
IT'S A BIG, BIG WORLD
GETTING SMALLER ALL THE TIME
YOU NEED TO MAKE YOUR MARK
WHILE YOU CAN
MAYBE I'LL MAKE MINE
IT'S A SCARY WORLD
MORE FRIGHTENING EVERY DAY
YOU GOT TO DRAW YOUR PLANS
MAKE YOUR MOVE
BEFORE THEY'RE WASHED AWAY
EVERYBODY'S FAMOUS
FOR A WEEKEND OR TWO
I'LL TELL YOU SOMETHING
EVERYBODY STARES
A MILLION EYES ON YOU
IF YOU FIT THE MOULD
YOU CAN BE SOLD
YOU KNOW YOU'RE NOTHING NEW
FAME'S A FICKLE FRIEND
WON'T BE THERE IN THE END
IT'LL CHEW YOU UP
SPIT YOU OUT
SEE YOU AT THE U-BEND
EVERYBODY'S FAMOUS
FOR A WEEKEND OR TWO
EVERYBODY'S FAMOUS
MAYBE SOMEONE LIKE YOU
EVERYBODY'S FAMOUS
WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO?
I'LL TELL YOU SOMETHING
SMUG ELITISTS, MOCK THE POOR
CALCULATING, SHOCK AND AWE
A LAST KISS, A LOVE VANISHED
WE'RE ALL HUMAN, THE REST IS GARNISH
I DON'T BLAME YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO
YOU'RE A LEAF BLOWING IN THE BREEZE
WHERE IT GOES NO ONE KNOWS
AND WHEN EVERYBODY'S FAMOUS
EVERYBODY'S FAMOUS
HOW WILL WE TELL?
WE'RE NOT IN HELL
